About Us

Founded in 2000, ArtWell is a 501(C)3 nonprofit providing educational, arts-based programs for underserved communities and youth facing discrimination, poverty, violence, and the everyday challenges of growing up. In partnership with over 400 local schools and community organizations, ArtWell® programs have helped transform the lives of more than 35,000 young people across the Greater Philadelphia region.

Services Offered

ArtWell utilizes best practices in Critical Pedagogy, Multicultural Education, Asset Based Youth Development and Social-Emotional Learning. Youth programs include: the Art of Growing Leaders, HeartBeat, EcoArts, MasterPeace, We the Poets, and the ArtWell Slam Team. ArtWell also hosts experiential workshops for professional groups and individuals in the public and private sector under its ArtWell@Work program.
